 On Friday, August 7 at 1200, a ceremony commemorating PURPLE HEART DAY will be held at the
Veterans Memorial on S. Main Street.  All are welcome to attend.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 7 at 1800 hrs in the VFW Hall, 110 County Road. 

FLAG DAY CEREMONY

The Rowley Rotary will host a Flag Day Ceremony on Sunday, July 14,
with formation at 1100 and ceremony commencement at 1130.



A decommissioning ceremony will be held at the VFW, 110 County Rd.,
on Tuesday, June 16 at 6 PM.

 A 250th Anniversary Celebration e-vite with a link to RSVP was sent to all emails on record at Our Lady of Hope and Saint Paul’s. Your RSVP response takes the guesswork out of planning for seating, food, and plenty of other logistics to pull off a successful and festive time for all. If you did not receive an e-vite that means we do not have your email address.

JUNE 2026 MEETING

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 2 @ 1800 hrs in the VFW Hall,
110 County Road.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - Due to the forecasted inclement weather for MON, MAY 25, the planned Memorial Day ceremonies are being moved inside the YMCA, 110 County Rd.

Times remain the same with formation at 1030 and commencement at 1100.

MEMORIAL DAY

1.  On Friday, May 22 @ 0730 Ipswich Public Schools.  Bus transportation from VFW Hall to the Ipswich High School, Winthrop, and Doyon elementary schools.

2.  On Friday, May 22 @ 1800.  DECORATION OF GRAVES.
     Volunteers needed.  Cowles Memorial Cemetery.

3.  On Monday, May 25 @ 1030.  Ceremonies to be conducted at the YMCA, 110 County Road, due to the forecasted inclement weather.

  • 10am-10:30am National Anthem sung, salutes, and special surprises to be announced.
  • Aviation display, Military and State Police Helicopter landing/displays. Time and specific rotor aircraft to be announced 36-24 HRS before the event, 
  • Visitor’s tent live interactive, webcast with historic Ettelbruck, Luxembourg about General Patton’s Third Army during the Battle of the Bulge and additional special guest presentations, speakers.
  •   and Dr. Howard E. Stone Award for Excellence in Veteran Mental Health Treatment presentations.
  • State, Federal and nonprofit veteran services organizations.
  • Multiple American Revolutionary War units and demonstrations.
  • Massachusetts National Guard equipment, Massachusetts State Police K9, Bomb, Water Recovery Units.
  • Operating WWII tanks and military vehicle demonstrations.
  • Military re-enactors, equipment displays, and memorabilia.
  • Active U.S. Army, Marine and Navy personnel, vehicles, artillery & “up armed” support equipment.
  • The Boston Park Rangers Mounted Horse Patrol Unit.
  • (6) Food trucks, children’s activities, misting tent.
  • And so much more to be announced!

$10 voluntary parking donation to benefit Military Service Day
as an annual nonprofit event.
Aviation Units subject to mission priority and weather changes the day of the event.

NOTICE:  Due to the inclement weather on March 3, the planned meeting was cancelled.  The March meeting is now rescheduled for Tuesday, March 10 @ 1800 hrs.

 As is the custom, members have voted to suspend the January meeting.  

The annual "State of the Post" letter will be sent to all members in January highlighting 2025 accomplishments and the planned changes for 2026.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, February 3 @ 1800 hrs
in the VFW Hall, 110 County Road.

“ THE GREEN BOX “ ABOUT HIS DAD, WHICH IS THE FOCUS OF THE DOCUMENTARY.

VETERANS HAVE BEEN INVITED TO THE 9:30 AM MASS AT ASSUMPTION OF THE VIRGIN MARY GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, 8 LAFAYETTE ROAD IPSWICH.  THERE WILL BE A BREAKFAST IN THE CHURCH HALL FOLLOWING THE MASS.
