MISSION

The Post exists for the benefit of the veterans. We have approximately 120 members, men and women, from WWII to the GWOT. Additionally, the Post is directly involved in the community in an effort to "make a difference."

- An annual scholarship will be awarded to a deserving Ipswich senior intent on pursuing higher education. Applications are to be submitted through the Ipswich High School Guidance Department no later than April 15 of each year. An award will be made directly to the student's college account.

- A quarterly donation is made by the Post for the benefit of the residents of the Massachusetts Soldier's Home in Chelsea.

- The annual Poppy Drive is held every year on the weekend prior to Memorial Day. The drive benefits veteran's programs, the scholarship fund and other civic programs and is the only fund raising activity held during the year. In addition, members take the opportunity to educate members of the general public as to the real meaning of Memorial Day.

- The Post provides a cash donation each year to the Ipswich Food Pantry due to the increased need during the holiday season.

- The Post provides a cash donation each year to Ipswich Caring for Christmas presents to needy Ipswich children.
