JUNE 2026 MEETING

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 2 @ 1800 hrs in the VFW Hall,
110 County Road.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - Due to the forecasted inclement weather for MON, MAY 25, the planned Memorial Day ceremonies are being moved inside the YMCA, 110 County Rd.

Times remain the same with formation at 1030 and commencement at 1100.

MEMORIAL DAY

1.  On Friday, May 22 @ 0730 Ipswich Public Schools.  Bus transportation from VFW Hall to the Ipswich High School, Winthrop, and Doyon elementary schools.

2.  On Friday, May 22 @ 1800.  DECORATION OF GRAVES.
     Volunteers needed.  Cowles Memorial Cemetery.

3.  On Monday, May 25 @ 1030.  Ceremonies to be conducted at the YMCA, 110 County Road, due to the forecasted inclement weather.

MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY

Military Service Day at Patton Homestead
Saturday July 18, 2026
10am-4pm

You will see and hear:

• 10am-10:30am National Anthem sung, salutes, and special surprises to be announced.

• Aviation display, Military and State Police Helicopter landing/displays. Time and specific rotor aircraft to be announced 36-24 HRS before the event, 

• see Facebook as American Legion: Post 194 (Hamilton).

• Visitor’s tent live interactive, webcast with historic Ettelbruck, Luxembourg about General Patton’s Third Army during the Battle of the Bulge and additional special guest presentations, speakers.

• The 2026 Joanne Holbrook Patton Student Writing Prize 
  (Application PDF),

•   and Dr. Howard E. Stone Award for Excellence in Veteran Mental Health Treatment presentations.

• State, Federal and nonprofit veteran services organizations.

• Multiple American Revolutionary War units and demonstrations.

• Massachusetts National Guard equipment, Massachusetts State Police K9, Bomb, Water Recovery Units.

• Operating WWII tanks and military vehicle demonstrations.

• Military re-enactors, equipment displays, and memorabilia.

• Active U.S. Army, Marine and Navy personnel, vehicles, artillery & “up armed” support equipment.

• The Boston Park Rangers Mounted Horse Patrol Unit.

• (6) Food trucks, children’s activities, misting tent.

• And so much more to be announced!
